Prosta-Q is a plant-derived remedy for men suffering from nonbacterial prostatitis or chronic pelvic pain syndrome (CPPS). The manufacturer, Farr Laboratories, LLC, promotes it as a natural prostate health alternative for those who are becoming increasingly frustrated at lack of solutions for the above noted conditions. It says that Prosta-Q’s patent pending blend of natural ingredients helps relieve symptoms of these conditions. The company claims that a clinical trial of Prosta-Q resulted in an “improvement of symptoms” in 82% of the males involved. However, this was an open-label study which is not the most unbiased form of clinical trial. Read our Prosta-Q review for further details to help decide if it’s the right product for you.
Ingredients
This product is a proprietary blend of the following ingredients:
• Quercetin
• Saw Palmetto
• Bromelain
• Cranberry
• Papain
• Zinc
Other ingredients include are gelatin, magnesium stearate and maltodextrin.
Quercetin is a bioflavonoid which has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Bromelain, cranberry, papain and saw palmetto promote digestion. Zinc helps to ramp up antioxidant reaction.
Dosage
The recommendation is for a capsule of Prosta-Q to be taken two to three times daily with meals. According to the manufacturer, many people are able to reduce the dose later on once symptoms have improved. They also note if there is no improvement after 8-12 weeks of treatment it is improbable that Prosta-Q will help.
Price
The cost of a 60-day supply of Prosta-Q is $79.98 plus a shipping charge of $7.95 per order. This is what the company calls its “discounted” auto-refill option wherein a new supply will automatically be shipped every two months at that price. A single bottle costs $49.99.
Guarantee
Farr Labs offers a relatively weak 90-day refund policy by accepting only unopened and undamaged bottle for return. Customers must first request a return authorization code from the company.
Prosta-Q Review – The Bottom Line
There is reason to believe Prosta-Q can be helpful, at least to a degree, in fighting nonbacterial prostatitis but we are not convinced that it is the solution for everyone. Although it is simple to use for those who have no problem swallowing capsules, at the time of our review, it had garnered quite mixed customer feedback from Amazon customers. The company reports some users having a slightly tingling sensation in the extremities after the first dose and that nausea is another possible side effect. We also find it quite expensive compared to the competition.
