Conclusion – Holland & Barrett CoEnzyme Q-10
There were a couple of things we liked about Holland & Barrett CoEnzyme Q-10. We liked that the company allows a return of the product for any reason, and the easy to navigate website with easy to understand explanations. We liked the 5% discount offered for recurring orders, and the discount if you spend over a certain amount. We did have a number of negative comments however. We thought that the absence of BioPerine, an important ingredient that helps the body absorb CoQ10, and increases bioavailability was somewhat surprising and lacking in a market where almost every other brand of CoQ10 includes this ingredient. Price-wise even with discounts available on the Holland and Barrett website, this was one of the most expensive CoQ10 products that we have reviewed. You get only 30 pills for $46. This supplement contains a dosage of 200 mg of CoQ10. Although this is a decent amount, there are products which offer up to 250 mg of coenzyme Q10. Holland & Barrett’s guarantee allows a return of an item within 30 days of ordering for an exchange or refund, but it’s not clear if this includes opened bottles as well. Thirty days is not terrible, but there are supplements out there offering longer return policies that also state clearly that you can return opened bottles. There was no explanation of desired outcomes or how long it would take to see those outcomes on the website. This is a common issue we have found, but some companies do explain the positive outcomes. Looking at the review comments, there were many dissatisfied customers. Many reviewers stated that the supplement was not beneficial to their cardiovascular or cognitive health. For these reasons we are unable to recommend Holland & Barrett CoEnzyme Q-10 today.
