Tonalin CLA is derived through a proprietary process from safflower oil which is, itself, a synthetic oil. Safflower oil is said to be the richest source of CLA especially now that cattle (which in the past were commonly grass fed, which resulted in the production of CLA in their milk and meat) are most often grain fed which does not result in CLA production.
Dosage
The manufacturer recommends taking one to two capsules before meals, three times per day or as directed by your health practitioner. Before you start taking the CLA supplement, it is recommended that your consult your health-care provider first.

The manaufacturer, Natural Factors, seems to be going for the high-end market. At the time of writing, you could buy a 90-capsule bottle on Amazon for $29.33, which is quite high. However, you could choose to purchase the “bonus pack” that was on offer on Amazon as well with two 60-capsule bottles for $23.98 (which is better but still not a bargain).
